Daughter to George Hall and Nancy Fout-Hall. Sarah Hall is the third daughter of five girls born to George and Nancy. The sisters are Mary, Elizabeth, Sarah, Caroline and Margaret. Sarah married James O'Brien on August 1, 1869 in Noble Township, Laporte County in the residence of her father. Sarah and James O'Brien resided in Holton, Jackson, Kansas in 1870 where James pursued his first career in Supervising Education. They also relocated to Plainfield Indiana and back to LaPorte, Indiana. Sarah gave birth to her only child in 1877 in Plainfield, Indiana where James was managing the operations of the Plainfield Indiana Boys Reform School. Sarah was a member of the LaPorte Chapter No 280 order of Eastern Star in 1903 until death. She held the office of marshal for 5 years. She leaves behind her son, 2 grandchildren, several great-grand children and two of her sisters. The funeral was held at Cutler Brothers chapel with the Eastern Star order in charge.
