Henry C. Tucker, 70, Eldon, died Thursday at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics. He was born Jan. 11, 1923, in Tuscumbia, a son of Clay and Emma Thompson Tucker. His father survives in Excelsior Springs. He was married Feb 2, 1950, in Harrison, Ark., to Nadine Wright, who died May 28, 1985.

A lifetime resident of Miller County, he had been a machine operator at Fasco Industries, Eldon, for 15 years. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and member of the Saline Valley Church of Christ.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Glenda Nowell, Lake Ozark, and Becky Heath, Valparaiso, Ind.; seven brothers, Tom Tucker, Marian, Kan., Herschel Tucker, Jefferson City, Dan Tucker, St. Louis, Gene Tucker, Eldon, Dale Tucker, Liberty, Bob Tucker, Mexico, and Paul Tucker, Tuscumbia; two sisters, Mary Hendley, Excelsior Springs, and Helen Koberowski, Kansas City; and one granddaughter.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Murl Nash will officiate. Burial will be in the Eldon City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today. Memorials are suggested to Saline Valley Church of Christ.
