Richard Raymond Tucker, 91, of Tuscumbia died Monday, Jan. 6, 1986, at the University of Missouri Health Sciences Center in Columbia. Mr. Tucker was born Aug. 9, 1894 in Big Piney to Marion and Doralee Estes Tucker. On Feb. 29, 1976, he was married in Tuscumbia to Violet Kroger.

A retired foreman and superintendent for Cudahy/Hayes Meat Packing Co., Mr. Tucker lived most of his life in Kansas City, Kan. He moved to Tuscumbia at age 62.

Surviving him are six sons, Marion Tucker, Royal Tucker, Lloyd Tucker, Carl Tucker and Gene Tucker, all of Kansas City, Kan., and Kenneth Tucker of Cape Fair; a daughter, Doris Rann of Kansas City Kan.; five step-sons, Harold Vore and Louis Vore, both of Eldon, and Scott Vore, Joe Hinkle and Tim Vore, all of Salt Lake City, Utah; two step-daughters, Susan Kennedy of Eldon and Shirley Vore of Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Clay Tucker of Eldon; a sister, Pearl Madden of Tuscumbia; 31 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Tuscumbia Christian Church with the Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. Burial was in the Tuscumbia Cemetery under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home.
