Retired Farmer George Peters Dies Tuesday at 88 Years
George Peters, 88, of 802 east South, died Tuesday at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Glenvil and farmed until retirement.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Butler-Volland Chapel and burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran cemetery west of Glenvil.
Peters is survived by his wife, Vina, a son John G. Peters of Hastings; daughters, Mrs. Sylvester Bell of Lincoln and Mrs. Wesley King of Minden; a stepson, Norval Land of Portland, Ore., seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and his brother John Peters of Hastings.
