Alfred Y. Obayashi, Jr., 41, a native Californian and fisherman-cook for Anchor Fishing Co. for 20 years, died Thursday in a hospital.

The Point Loma resident is survived by a daughter, Beth; parents Alfred Sr. and Emiko Obayashi; a brother, Jon, and sisters Marilou Seki and Becky Hatashita. All are San Diegans except Mrs. Hatashita of Bonita.

Services will be a 7:30 p.m. today in the Colonial Chapel of Lewis Colonial–Benbough's Mortuary. Cremation is planned.
