Elizabeth Ann Burke, 67, of Old Dan's Rock Road, Midland went to be with the Lord after a valiant fight against cancer on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing. Born on March 8, 1945 in Cumberland she was the daughter of the late Charles L. Hausrath and Helen M. (Meyers) Hausrath.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol L. Bittner.

Elizabeth was a lifelong, devoted member of the First Assembly of God Church, Lonaconing. She served in various capacities such as Deacon, Sunday School superintendent, Sunday School teacher, Missionettes and WM's Choir and Prayer Chain. Two outreach programs that were near and dear to her heart were the 3-D Group and the Lonaconing S.H.I.P. program. She was a 1963 graduate of Valley High School.
After high school Liz worked at the Pentagon. After taking time to raise her children she began a 30 plus year career as a secretary/bookkeeper. She was employed by Duckworth Coal, Clise Coal and Franklin Coal Yard at various times throughout those years.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Francis Burke; four daughters, Nancy Frost and husband Jay, Sr. of Cumberland, Jill Boyd of Westernport, Anita McGregor and husband Michael of Lonaconing and Julie B. Kyle of Midland; eleven grandchildren, Jay Frost, Jr. and wife Jessica, Christopher Frost, Vanessa Frost, Nicholas Frost, Keith Donaldson and wife Samantha, Keri Donaldson, Kristin Boyd, Michael McGregor, Kayla McGregor, Logan Kyle and Levi Kyle; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Donaldson, Sage Donaldson and Amari Frost; one brother, Charles A. Hausrath and wife Nita of Ft. Ashby, WV; a brother-in-law, Donald Bittner of LaVale; a sister-in-law, Cindy Burke of Fort McCoy, FL and many neices, nephews and cousins.

Family and Friends will be received at the First Assembly of God Church, Lonaconing on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. A memorial service will immediately follow the receiving of family and friends at 1:00 PM with Pastor Robert Whitecotton officiating. Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Midland (www.eichhornmckenzie.com) handled the arrangements.
