Bertha Faye Cowan Watson, daughter of the late James Cowan and Rogenia Pittman Cowan, was born October 11, 1913 in Berwyn (now Gene Autry) Oklahoma. She passed from this life, to join her husband and son in Heaven, December 13, 2012; at the age of 99 years, 2 months and 2 days. She often said that she "loved the Lord with all of my Soul."

Faye married Heston Brock in 1931, they were the parents of a son, James Brock.

In 1947 she and James Watson married. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary shortly before he passed away in 1997.

For most of her life, Faye was a homemaker. A charter member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Lawton, Oklahoma and after moving to Ardmore was a long-time member of First Orthodox Baptist Church and in her later years was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Ardmore.

Through the years she was very active in church and Sunday School activities as well as the Eastern Star. The most defining characteristic of her life was her love and devotion to her son, James, who preceded her in death.

At the time of her home going she was survived by two grandchildren, Jimmy Brock and Susan Marshall; two great-grandchildren, Allen Brock and Mariah Alm; a niece, Wana Faye Peterson; and a close family friend, Janice Hitchcock.

Burial services were in Rose Hill Cemetery, Friday, December 14, 2012.
