Jeannette M. Leach, age 76, of Monroe, died on Sunday, Dec 3, 2006. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, at Horis A. Ward's Rockdale Chapel at 11AM. Interment will follow at Dawn Memorial Park in Decatur.
A native of Dekalb County, Mrs. Leach was a nurse at Dekalb Medical Center for 25 years and was a lifelong member of Peachcrest Christian Church.
She is survived by daughter Jackie Smith of Covington; sons, Walter H. "Buddy" Leach, Jr. and Deedra of Monroe, Jeffrey A. Leach of Monroe; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Jean Cook of Covington, Priscilla Alhstead of Loganville; brothers, Tim Mills of Conyers and Jimmy Mills of Jenkinsburg; several nieces & nephews. Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Houston Leach and brother, Julius Mills.
