He was born June 30, 1929 in Kaysville, Utah to Alfred and Lucille Groves Green. He was raised in Kaysville, attending Davis High School and later moved to Layton.

He worked for HAFB as an electrical mechanic. He took great pride in knowing that he worked there for over 30 years with many awards received. Dad was also a member of the V.F.W. in Layton and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1389, where his buddies were his second family. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing trips to Alaska, Oregon, Wyoming and Montana with his wife and friends. Summers won't be the same without the annual Lagoon camp-out with his grandchildren. Dad maintained an admired quick wit right up until the time of his passing.
