PATRICK - Graveside service for Ray E. Evans, 79, will be held at 3:00 p.m Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Charlie Young and Pastor Zell Ford will officiate. Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home is serving the family. The family will receive friends following the service. Mr. Evans died Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Born in Mooresville, NC, he was a son of the late Henry Washington Evans and the late Mildred Hyde Evans Hunter. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was the warehouse foreman of Shealy's Millwork and Supplies until he retired and moved to Patrick, SC.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred "Milly" Abbott Evans of Patrick, SC; sons, Tony (Theresa) Evans of Chesney Park, IL, John (Diane) Evans of Florence, SC, Gene (Cricket) Evans of Fletcher, NC; daughter, Patti (Steve) Fouche of Gilbert, SC; sister, Jacqueline Evans Brown of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, Brandon Evans, Dustin Evans, Cody Evans, Elizabeth (Robby) Baker, Ashton Evans, Lacie Evans, Carolyne Evans, Stephanie (Joey) Bennett, Evan Hunter, Crystal Hunter; 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Steve Fouche, Jr.
