Born in Menallen Township, he was the son of the late Clarence and Blanche Bowmaster Baker.
He had been employed by the former C.H. Musselman Co., and Pet Milk, both of Biglerville, for many years, and later by the Donald Trostle farms.
He was the husband of Helen McCauslin, who departed this life in 1999, and is survived by two daughters, Jill E. Scheaffer of Biglerville and Joan E. Baker of Arendtsville; one son, Ralph E. Baker of Warminster; four sisters, Teresa Plank of New Oxford, Catherine Topper and Maryanna Martin, both of Gettysburg, and Nancy Martin of Michigan; three brothers, Paul Baker of Gettysburg, Stanley Baker of Fairfield and Calen Baker of Gettysburg; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a one son, Clyde "Jack" Baker Jr.
