He was born January 16, 1921, in Taylor, Idaho to James M. Priest and Minnie Mae Priest [Viola Elizabeth Humphries]. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Shelley High School. He served as a Technician 5 in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Ken farmed in the Idaho Falls area. He also worked as a carpenter and was in the Carpenter's Union.
He married Rolla Leora Willems and from this union came one son and two daughters.

Daughter: Ruth Ann (Randy) Green, Rigby, ID
Daughter: Ida Mae Hanson, Rigby, ID
7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters, 4 brothers, a grandson, and a son-in-law.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at the Taylor Cemetery with military rites performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and the Idaho Honor Guard.
