Funeral services were held for Nels J. Nelson, 66, on Tuesday, Aug. 5, at 2:30 p.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church. A family service was held at 2 p.m. at the Boldt Funeral Home. The Rev. Bert Streufert officiated. Interment was made in the Maple Lawn Cemetery. The pallbearers were Edmund Bisping, Edgar Bisping, Alfred Bisping, George Graves, Freeman Graves and Luverne Bremer. Nels Nelson was born on Dec. 24, 1891, to Mr. and Mrs. Soren Nelson at Prinston and has been a resident of this city for the past 50 years. On June 24, 1914, he was married to Lydia Bauer at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Faribault. He was a charter member of the Peace Lutheran Church. Mr. Nelson is survived by his wife; by one sister, Mrs. Christine Swenside of Minneapolis; and by two brothers, Fred Nelson of Minneapolis and Walter Nelson of Faribault. Relatives and friends attended the funeral from Milwaukee, Wis., Savanna, Ill., Minneapolis, St. Paul, Mankato and Elgin, Ill.
