Mary apparently went to live with Delilah to help as they are all shown living together on 1860 census.
Mary and daughter Delilah are also shown living in Madison on 1870 census with just Reed still at home when he was 14 years of age.
Sadly, Mary died 1874, and daughter Delilah died the following year; 23 Nov 1875. Reed would have been about 19 years old then.
