Rena was born on April 28, 1929 in Rushville, Nebraska. She was the oldest of five children born to Christian Peter Jensen and Naomi Grant Jensen. Rena was raised in the Merriman area and attended both grade school and high school in Merriman. She graduated from Merriman High in 1947. After graduation, Rena attended Chadron State College where she earned a teaching certificate. She taught in rural schools in Cherry County for several years before being united in marriage to Blaine E. Belsky, also of Merriman. To this union, three children were born, Gary Lynn, Kristi Kay and Jo Ellen.
Rena enjoyed reading, doing crosswords, dancing and playing cards.
Rena is survived by brother Bill Jensen of Tulsa, Oklahoma, sister Sue Novak of Martin, South Dakota,
daughter Kristi (Joe) Minor of Hyannis, daughter Jo Ellen (Roy) of Torrington, Wyoming, grandchildren
Tyler {McKenzie} Minor, Clay Johns, Karri Johns, Angie (Josh} Garner, 10 great grandchildren, 3 great,
great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Rena was preceded in death by her parent 1 son Gary brother Tom, sister Tudy and an infant sister.
