He then enlisted in Harrisburg September 13, 1864, mustered into federal service there September 14 at as a private with Co. I, 210th Pennsylvania Infantry, and honorably discharged with his company May 30, 1865.
He married Mary Ann unk. and fathered Albert (b. @1870). In 1890, lived in Hauvers, Frederick County, Maryland.
