Obituary in Lufkin Daily News, Aug. 22, 1961

Funeral services for Milledge L. Hutson, 65, of 8909 Lake Forest Blvd., Houston, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Gipson Funeral Chapel.

Rev. Marvin Crow and Rev. C. L. Garrett will officiate and interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Shiloh Cemetery in Alto.

Mr. Hutson died early Tuesday morning in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Groveton on Jan. 5, 1896, and had lived in Houston for the past 10 years. He was a retired planer foreman, a veteran of WWI, and a deacon in the Lakewood Baptist Church of Houston.

Nephews will be pallbearers.

* Son: Rev. Medford Hutson of Lufkin
* Daughter: Mrs. Charline Lambright of Houston
* Brothers: Judge Hutson of Lufkin and Fleet Hutson of Longview
* Sisters: Mrs. Sema Linscomb of Beaumont, Velmore Kelly of Houston, Mrs. C. P. McDermott and Mrs. Lucille Reese, both of Ft. Worth
* 5 grandchildren
