ELDRIDGE, Iowa - Frances A. Arp, of Eldridge, Iowa, died Tuesday, September 13, 2005, at the Davenport Lutheran Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2005, at the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials can be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge. She was born July 12, 1906, in Eldridge, the daughter of Adolph and Annie (Schneekloth) Muhs. She was united in marriage to Albert Arp on February 18, 1930, in Davenport. He preceded her in death in 1973. Frances was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge, Farm Bureau, Women of the Moose, and several area card clubs. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Lorna and Herb Ries, of Davenport, and Sandra Stoltenberg, of Lawton, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Mark Ries, David Ries, Randy Stoltenberg, Kris Stoltenberg, and Monty Stoltenberg; three great-grandchildren, Miranda Ries, Kirsten Ries, and Koryn Ries; and one great-great-granddaughter, Makailynn Ries. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Lenora and Elsie, three brothers, Eddie, Benny, and George, and one grandson, Kelly Ries.
