Eugene E. Gates, aged 57, died at his home on Park street last Saturday. The deceased has been ill for some time with heart disease. He is survived by a widow and son Nathan of Lamsons, and daughter Bessie of this city; also four brothers and two sisters. The funeral services were held Tuesday at the late home also at the First M. E. church, and were conducted by the Rev. Joan Richards. Interment Mount Adnah Cemetery
