The Wednesday session of the fall term of Circuit Court for Putnam County was featured by the prompt disposal of the case of Mrs. Joyce Worley charged with the murder of her husband, Sanders Buford Worley (1908-1948), a painter, the crime having been committed on the night of July 30. The wife, age 30, a bride of only six weeks at the time of the tragic killing, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of second degree murder, and was sentenced to life imprisonment by Judge George W.
