"Memorial services for Ethel Elizabeth Wilkins, a North Portland homemaker, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in River View Cemetery's Adams Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Wilkins died Thursday in her daughter's Portland home. She was 98.


Mrs. Wilkins was born in Albany and had lived in the Portland area since 1918. She was a member of Portland's First Presbyterian Church for 55 years. She formerly sang in the church choir and was a circle leader. Mrs. Wilkins also was a member of Southgate Lodge 149, Order of Eastern Star, and formerly was active in the Thursday Study Club in Albany and the Macabees Lodge.


Mrs. Wilkins is survived by two sons, H. Franklin Wilkins of Pacific City and James R. Wilkins of Portland; three daughters, E. Anne Zapf of Auburn, Wash., and D. Jean Cusick and Polly F. Chapman, both of Portland; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
