Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Morton, with burial in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, and 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
He is survived by special friend Elaine Barnes of Redwood Falls; and children, Gordon David Davis of Hudson, Wis., Shari Ness of Redwood Falls, Linda and Ken Winter of Phoenix, Ariz., Michelle Davis of Sanborn and Kevin and Jodi Davis of North St. Paul; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Ed Frank of Redwood Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Myrtle, in 1979 and six siblings, two in infancy and Edith, William, Howard and Mildred.
He was born July 4, 1915, in Renville County, to Edward and Freda (Graffenberger) Davis.
He married Myrtle Gaffney on August 26, 1940, at Dodge Center, Iowa. He farmed with his father and then worked for Central Bi-Products. He bought the family farm in the early 1940s. He retired from farming in 1978 but remained on the farm doing parttime jobs. He was a handyman for the Valley Supper Club for several years.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Morton and had served on the Beaver Falls Township Board.
