A service in memory of Kenneth was offered Saturday, June 6, 1987, at 10 a.m. at the chapel of the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, North Dakota. Officiant was Rev. Willard Irwin.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Kenneth C. and Clair D., daughters, Sharon Louise Broad, and Mrs. Ron (Ruth Ann) Trussel; step-sons, John Lukemire, Terry Martin, Lewis Lukemire, Michael Haney, James Haney; step-daughters Frances Ward, and Carol Parker. His sisters, Dorothy Kopman (Harold) of Beecher, IL, Mildred Pedrick (Melvin) of Elizabethtown, Ky and Mary Stroup (Clyde) of Peoria, IL. 13 grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clair E. and Ida Mae Curtiss and one brother, Leslie C.

He was reared and educated in Wyanet IL and graduated from high school there. Upon graduation he moved to Peoria, IL where he helped his father in his construction and moving business, becoming a certified electrician and plumber. He joined the Civilian Conservation Corps in Wisconsin on January 4, 1935 and helped on the construction of many different projects in Wisconsin and Michigan. He married the former Lillian Thomas on August 24, 1939 in Peacock, Michigan, Lillian passed away on December 2, 1975 in Minot. He joined the National Guard of Wisconsin on January 16, 1936 and in 1942 joined the Army Air Corps. He was assigned to many different posts in the United States and abroad. In 1965 he was assigned to Minot AFB where he was a physical fitness instructor. He retired from the USAF on January 1, 1968 as a Technical Sergeant, serving 26 years. Upon retirement he became manager of the First National Bank of Minot, AF Branch. He received a Bachelor of Art degree from Minot State College on May 24, 1974. He was ordained a pastor for the United Christian Church and Ministerial Assoc. on October 7, 1980. He married Mary Ann McCubbins on April 19, 1976 in Minot.

He was laid to rest on June 10, 1987 at Forest Hill Cemetery, next to his parents, in Wyanet, IL. A military rites ceremony was held.
