MILLERSBURG Lester L. Bonawitz, 71, of Millersburg RD 1 died yesterday in Harrisburg Hospital.
He was a retired employee of Bethlehem Steel; a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Rife, VFW Post 5507 and American Legion Post 326; and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Pearl Bonawitz; a daughter, Audrey Bowers; two brothers, Charles Jr. of Halifax, and Alvin of Carlisle; four sisters, Amy Goodling of Halifax, and Ida Fulkroad, Grace Holtzman, and Fern Smith, all of Millersburg; two granddaughters; and three great-grandsons.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Reinhard Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax RD 3.
Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Millersburg Ambulance, P.O. Box 72, Millersburg, or the Millersburg Community Nurse Association, 1000 Medical Road, Millersburg 17061.
