Tersa Ann Inman was the daughter of Andrew Inman and Margaret Peery. She married James D Springer 31 July, 1856, in Lawrence County, MO. They were the parents of three children: Robert Hillhouse Springer, Margaret Jane (Springer) McDonald and James Bowie Springer. The following is taken from "A Genealogy of the Hillhouse-Dickey Families" by Bessie Hillhouse Young, p. 31: "Tersa Ann Inman died in 1861 and was buried at Camp Ground or Lee Cemetery near her parents, Andrew and Margaret (Peery) Inman. Her death occured during the Civil War and the burial was made at night. Her three children were very young."
