HENRY HARELL BAKER
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley for Henry Harell Baker, 71, of Brawley, who died Wednesday in his home. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Mr. Baker was born June 3, 1930, in Texas, the son of Henry Monroe and Emma Jean Baker.

Mr. Baker joined the Army when he was 18 years old and was a veteran of the Korean War where he received the Purple Heart for injuries he received in battle. After the war he married Dorothy Tolzien on May 11, 1953, in Yuma and moved to Brawley, where he lived ever since. He worked most of his life as a mechanic.

He loved to hunt, fish, play bingo and be with his family, according to his family.

He was preceded in death by a son, James Baker.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Baker, of Brawley; daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Mike Miller of New Mexico; Margaret and Ronnie Pope of Utah; Linda and Eddie Croom of North Carolina; Deborah and Jim Draughn of California; sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil and Lynn Baker and Henry and Sarah Baker, all of California; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Lindy Jim of Arizona; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Jennifer Baker of Arizona; special nephew, Joe Ronald Post of Brawley; and 40 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
