Anna Marie Coons, Age 18 years old, of Springfield, Ohio passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from injuries sustained in an accident involving her horse, Hannah.

Ms. Coons is the daughter of Northwestern Elementary School physical education teacher Joe Coons and his wife, Joanne. She is survived by her parents, brothers Samuel, Joel, and Josh; and one younger sister, Abilgail.

She also is survived by a fiance, Kenny Copley, whom she was set to marry in October, and a large extended family.

She had strong Christian faith and a close relationship with her family. Ms. Coons was an active member of the New Covenant Church of God and was also an employee of Oakwood Village, where she served residents meals and helped them with activities.

The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 24, at Jackson Lytle Williams Funeral Home. A celebration of Ms. Coons' life will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory in support of the Miami Valley Hospital Trauma Center's CareFlight program.
