Elenor D. Collins, 83, of Bath, PA passed away Friday, November 3, 2006 in St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Harley L. Collins and they have observed 61 years of marriage. She was born January 28, 1923 in Scranton, a daughter of the late Howard and Pearl (Wagner) Dippre. She was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bethlehem. A graduate of Pocono High School in 1941, she went on to become a registered nurse. She graduated Abington Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1944, where she worked briefly before becoming a homemaker. Elenor was a volunteer at Muhlenberg Hospital for over 30 years, a charter member of the Hanover Twp. Volunteer Fire Company, and also volunteered at the soup kitchen in Bethlehem.
Survivors: In addition to her husband, she is survived by her six children whom she gently raised: three daughters, Janet Lenig, wife of the late William of Bethlehem, Susan McKelvie of Bath, Colleen Williams and husband David in Maine; three sons, Donald of Bath, Jim and wife Debbie of Moore Twp., Allen and wife Annette of Moore Twp.; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Betty Ayers.
Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2006 from Wesley United Methodist Church, Bethlehem Call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Moorestown and 9-10 a.m. Wednsday in the church.
Interment in St. Pauls Cemetery, Swiftwater.
