Callie Lou Little Williams

Date February 24, 1934 - December 05, 2012

Obituary Mrs. Callie Lou Little Williams, a daughter of the late Clifford V. and Essie Price Little, came into this world on February 24, 1934 in Murphy, North Carolina.

Our dear sweet wife and mother went to Heaven, December 5, 2012. She was injured in a traffic accident December 1st that her body just couldnt survive. She tried so hard, never once complaining of pain though she was racked with it, but was so worn out from struggling to breathe. We children thank God for giving us such a sterling Christian Southern lady for our mother. We also give thanks for God giving our dad to Mother as together they were the best parents and examples of true love, devotion, and Christianity to us and all who knew and loved her.

Mother was strong, independent, quiet, a prayer warrior, and an example we can all try to emulate. She loved our spouses as if they were to her born. Her grandchildren were treasures she prayed over and for even in the hospital. She wanted all to know and love the Lord Jesus as our Savior. Her husband of almost 60 years, John Clayton Williams, was her rock, anchor, and love of her life.

Life can change in a single moment. Praise God for giving us our mother and wife and for the knowledge she is now with God in Heaven! We all love you, Momma.

Miss Callie was survived by her husband, John Clayton Williams; daughter, Nancy Williams Scipione and husband Kim Davis Scipione; daughter, Constance Williams Gagne; son, Shaun Clayton Williams and wife Kimberly Turner Williams; sister, Amaryllis Little Burns; brother, Gauvain J. Little and wife Winnie Little; seven grandchildren, Henry Louis Gagne and wife Aaron Necaise Gagne, Kent Avery Scipione, Clayton Allen Williams, Chandler Bradford Little, Courtney Lauren Williams, Christian Turner Williams, and Anna Caroline Williams; and great grandchild, Elizabeth Cooper Gagne. She was also survived by her sister in law, Delois Grant Little; brother in law, Burton Fair Williams; sister in law, Anne Shorter Williams Carpenter; nieces, Brenda Gail Carder, Deborah Elaine Elliot, Sherrill Joy Milne and Dianna Kilpatrick; nephew, Bruce Little; and many great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Preceded her in death were her parents, Clifford V. Little and Essie Price Little; sisters, Genevieve Little and Winnie Ruth Little Norris; brother, Clarence L. Doc Little; and nephew, Harrison Little.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, December 10, 2012 at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 251 Old Culberson Road, Murphy, NC. Rev. Ron Patterson will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
