"William Robert Melson, 84, a well-known resident of the Low Gap area, died at his home there Sunday, August 12. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Oark High School Auditorium. Burial was in the Oark Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Andrew of Stillwell, Oklahoma, and Virgil and Zanna of Ozone; three daughters, Mrs. J.A. Cooksey of Fort Smith and Mrs. Irene McCollum and Mada Ziegler of Effingham, Illinois."
