Harry William "Bill" Haberland, 82, of Leawood, KS, passed away May 16, 1998, at his home. A private memorial service will be held at the family cottage on the Lake of the Woods in Canada.
Mr. Haberland was born December 17, 1915, in Kansas City, MO. He was a veteran of WWll, and an executive with Inter-Collegiate Press for 40 years. He went to Winnipeg, Canada, in 1960, to open and manage a new Inter-Collegiate branch. He and his family lived in Winnipeg for the next 12 years, and he regarded those years in Canada as the highlight of his life. He moved again in 1972, to Iola, KS, to open another new Inter-Collegiate Press branch. He retired from Inter-Collegiate Press in 1979, and moved to Deltona, FL, for 10 years before returning to Leawood, KS.
Mr. Haberland is survived by his wife of 58 years, Clint, son, Robert and granddaughter, Suni, both of Iola, KS, and daughter, Linda, Leawood, KS.
