LeRoy Reese, 82, died Friday, march 21, 2003 at Logan Manor, Logan.

He was born October 13, 1920 on the family farm four miles east of Logan to Thomas and Cora Anna (Gebers) Reese.

He grew up on the family farm, graduating from Logan High School in 1938. On june 9, 1940, he married Mildred Jean Patterson in Oregon, MO. They had six children.

Mr. Reese and his family attended Logan Christian Church where they were active members. Friends and neighbors knew they could always count on Reese for a helping hand. After church, family and friends, farming was considered his passion.

In 1965, his wife died. He later married Nola Marjorie (Smith) Hutchinson. They remained on the farm until retirement, moving to Phillipsburg in 1992.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean; two sons, Randall and Roger; two sisters, Cora Selbe and Lottie McCormack; six brothers: Calvin, Harley, Lloyd, Floyd and Norman; and one step-daughter, Glenda Mindrup.

Survivors include his wife, Nola Marjorie, of the home, children: David Reese, Harper; Stephen and Karen Reese of Logan; Daniel and Joyce reese of Hill City; Faye Ann and Lester Bausch of Norton; step-sons, Dennis Hutchinson, Hill City and Wayne Hutchinson, Plainville; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at the First Christian Church in Logan with Troy Buss officiating.

Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Logan.

Arrangements were by Logan Funeral Home.
