Marie was born in Newport, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Arthur and Ingeborg Olsson. She met Allan, a Navy Sailor and her one true love, in February of 1942. In May of 1944, Allan was able to get leave and Marie and Allan were married at Trinity Church. Marie left her position as a secretary at the Naval Torpedo Station to become a full time wife and mother.
Marie enjoyed dancing, traveling, the beach, and above all else, spending her time with family and close friends.
Marie is survived by Allan, her Husband of 68 years; children: Richard Dahlgren, Lawrence (JoEllen) Dahlgren, Susan Stevens (Greg Foster), Kathryn (Blake) Angove, Jeffrey Dahlgren, and Nancy Dahlgren (Paul Kovitz); 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 sister- in- laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
