Cathy Lee England, 60, of Evanston, passed away at Evanston Regional Hospital Monday, Dec. 3, 2012.
She was born to Dean and Selma England in Ogden, Utah, on May 5, 1952.
Cathy was a disc jockey for KJQ in Ogden for many years. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, and Tony Stewart was her favorite. She also enjoyed watching and listening to the Bar J Wranglers. She also loved going to the dollar store and buying her grandchildren small gifts, which would put a smile on their faces and hers.
She was also known as "CJ the DJ," and she loved talking to her mom on the phone. She enjoyed going to the senior center and playing cards. She loved her dog, Brownie, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Cathy is survived by her children, Michael Kriegh, of Evanston, and Michelle (Clayton) Cook, also of Evanston; four grandchildren; her mother, Selma England, of Ogden; and brothers Barry England, of Evanston, and Dennis England, of Roy, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dean, and grandmother, Della Packer.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m. at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
