Juanita F. Blackburn, 98 of Paris, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019.
Funeral services have been set for Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Durig officiating. Interment will follow at Union Grove Cemetery in Reno. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
She was born in Durant, Oklahoma on December 29, 1920 to John and Lola McCurdy. She retired from Campbell Soup and took care of close family and friends for an additional 20 years.. She lived a simple life, playing Bingo, reading Western books and working at Gene’s Flea Market. She was the most honest and caring person. She always thought of others before herself.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Gina Earl, Danna Taylor, Tami Lane and spouse Dwayne Ray, Mike Temple, Gary Blackburn, Debbie Blackburn; best friend, Mae Storm; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great-grandchild; nephews, Allen and Ernest “Butch” Bourne.
She was preceded in death by parents; her son, Robert Blackburn; her daughter, Patricia Ervin; 6 brothers; 3 sisters; great-grandson Christopher Lane.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy “JR” Lane II, Gary Blackburn, James “Jim” Wright, Johnny Showalter; Hanna McGowin and Don Karasek.
