Raymond Franklin Pierce Jr., 73, a native of Jefferson, Texas, and a resident of Houma, died, Monday, Dec. 3, 2012.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diane Pizzolato Pierce; one daughter, Kimberly Pierce Eskind; one son, Raymond "Booger" Franklin Pierce III and wife, Rosemary Pierce; grandchildren, Michael Eskind Jr. and wife, Monique, Derek Pierce and wife, Ginger and Dustin Pierce; great-grandchildren, Ashton Pierce and Aubree Pierce; one sister, Jean Shupe; one brother, Bennie Pierce and wife, Vickie; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved pets, Tiki and Zoe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Franklin Pierce Sr. and Bertha Belcher Manley; and two sisters, Sally Pierce and Patricia Breaux.
His hobbies were dirt-track racing and fishing.
He loved spending time with his family and friends.
