Grandmother is buried beside her beloved husband Harry Stanley Edwards in Little Grant Union Cemetery out side of Lancaster Wisconsin. Grandpa died in 1944. He was working with a friend on a barn roof when he suffered from a fatal heart attack. The man he was working with save him from falling off the roof,people came and lowered grandpa down to the ground. My grandma,Vera Marie, died at home in front of me (Clair Oates). I was playing checkers and she was washing the dishes. I turned to tell grandma I had won the game ( I was 4 1/2) her last words to me were "That's wonderful Clairann", then she died. Grandma had diabetes. I think her heart just stopped.
She was my world. Mom worked all the time,grandma baby sat me.
Mom was 12 when she lost her dad and she never got over it. She is with him now and the rest of her family.
