Foy Brown, 88, of Kerens passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, at Cedar Lake Nursing Home in Malakoff.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Paschal Funeral Home in Kerens.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Paschal Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Frank Upchurch and the Rev. Wes Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Prairie Point Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Homer Gene Wasson, Lawrence McBride, Jerry Crocker, Roy Gerald Tramel, Billy Tramel and Kenneth Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be Blair Watt, Jimmie Spencer, Roy Gene Brown, Tommy Spivey, B.H. Upchurch and Billy Ray Brown.
Mr. Brown was born Sept. 5, 1917, in Kerens. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II. He retired after 32 years with Lone Star Gas Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Brown; parents, Comeluis and Annie Mae Brown; foster parents, Jasper and Sarah Tramel; son, Anthony Harold Brown; brothers, Burtran Brown, John Tramel and Bill Tramel; sisters, Vennie Nelson and Ila Mae Goodman; and grandson, Stacey Brown.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Mary Lee Brown of Kemp; son, Mark Brown of Kerens; daughter, Darlene Philiposian of Collingvale, Pa.; grandson and wife, Casey and Sylvia Brown of Kemp; great-granddaughter, Madison Brown of Kemp; sisters, Etta Brown of Powell, Leola Warren and Mildred Warren, both of Kerens, Betty Mann of Fort Worth and Juanita Bailey of Dallas; and brother, Orvin Brown of Dallas.
