Lawrence Russell Byers, 78, passed away at St. Vincent's Hospital East, Birmingham, Ala. Per Terry's Mortuary, Talladega, interment in Morning Star Church Cemetery, Talladega Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beason and Creola Byers; a brother, Benjamin Byers. Mr Byers served in the U.S. Navy where he received the National Defense Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He is survived by his wife, and other family.
