BRISTOL - Gena Elizabeth Prime, 87, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, in Helen Porter Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury.

She was born July 9, 1925, in Bristol, the daughter of Arthur and Alice Shepard Prime.

She retired from Uni Royal Manufacturing in Bristol, Conn. She volunteered at several nursing homes in the surrounding area in Connecticut, during her retirement years. She enjoyed driving her red sport car.

Gena is survived by her two sisters, Anna Palmer of Vergennes, and Charlene Peryea of Bristol; sisters-in-law, Alice Prime of Vergennes, and Barbara Prime of Bristol; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Dean, Welden, Arthur, and Mike Prime.

A graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol. Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol will be in charge of arrangements.
