WARE, DAISY KATHRYN ALLEY - 84, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving and adoring family Tuesday, December 4, 2012. Daisy is preceded in death by her parents Samuel L. and Florence Bunch Alley; sisters Anna Margaret Elder, Marjorie Reed, Betty Lou Alley; brother, Samuel S. Alley. She is survived by her devoted husband and constant companion of nearly 64 years, Rev. Carl W. Ware, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law Sam and Karen Ware; daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Michael McKinnon; daughter Leonette Ware; grandchildren: Laura and James Paschke, Melissa Stutts, Donnie Stutts, Rebecca Ware, Brandon and Ginger McKinnon, Ryan and Nikki McKinnon, and Jordan McKinnon; great grandchildren: Sarah Grace Paschke, Abigail Kathryn Stutts, Savanna Grace and Ava Lynn McKinnon, and William Michael McKinnon; sister Mary Jane Gann, and several nieces and nephews. A member of Bookwalter United Methodist Church, Daisy faithfully and graciously served alongside her United Methodist Pastor husband, Carl, in the Holston Conference for more than 40 years of active ministry. She loved each Church congregation where they were called to serve, and gave freely of the talents with which she had been blessed to enrich the lives of all those whom she met. Daisy will be remembered as a precious, beautiful woman who loved her Lord, her family, and a lifelong calling of sacrifice for others. Special appreciation is expressed to Dr. David Durbin, Angie, Knoxville Hematology/Oncology, and Covenant Hospice for the kind, end of life care provided. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 7, 2012, 7:30 p.m., Bookwalter United Methodist Church with Dr. Pat Polis, Dr. J. David Hester, and Rev. Richard Richter officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. preceding the service. Interment will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012, in the Bookwalter United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Children and Youth Ministries of either Bookwalter United Methodist Church 4218 Central Avenue Pike, Knoxville, TN, 37912, or Hillcrest United Methodist Church 1615 Price Ave., Knoxville, TN, 37920.
