Myrtle was a member of the Eastern Star Order, Beckworth Chapter.

Allen met Emma Nellie Maxwell and married 17 Dec 1887, in Minden, NV Allen, a miner, worked in Bishop, Bodie, Yerington, Wadsworth, They had 6 kids Myrtle Ellen, Allen Michael, Amber Katherine, Estelle Rachael, June Rose & Ona Irma Archer.

Myrtle E Archer moved from Reno, where she was a clerk in a dry goods store, and while living in Stockton, California, with her brother and sisters, first married Frank Charles Kispert on 19 Apr 1917. As of 1920, Myrtle and Frank lived in Oakland, California, where she worked in confectionary sales and Frank was a fireman.

Myrtle and Frank divorced, and later Myrtle Kispert, married George Pollock of Wadsworth, Nevada, someone she knew from home, and they briefly lived in Reno, but eventually made their home in Portola, California. George worked as a driver and teamster.

On 18 Sept 1929, in Reno, Nevada, Myrtle and George were divorced.

On 24 Jun 1930, Myrtle Pollock was appointed U.S. Postmaster in Portola, but she lived in Beckwourth.

While living in Beckwourth, Myrtle met Bruce O Vance, a railroad engineer, and they got married on 10 Mar 1932, in Reno. As of 1940, Myrtle was U.S. Post Master and Bruce worked for the railroad.
