CHICKAMAUGA — Geneva Young Bowman, 93, our precious, beautiful, loving mother went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Jan. 14, 2008.
She fought a long courageous battle to stay with all of the people she loved, but God in his ultimate wisdom, knew it was time for mama to rest. Only he knows how much we love her and how much we will miss her. You and daddy enjoy heaven, mama, and I promise someday we'll all be together again. Thank you God for allowing us to have the most wonderful, caring, loving parents anyone could ever wish for.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry (Pat) Bowman, Terry (Cheryl) Bowman; daughters, Fay (David) Gibson and Barbara (Ricky) Daniel, all of Chickamauga; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A special thanks and love to Marie Prather who was like a daughter. She called almost everyday to ask how mama was doing and to say she loved her.
Services will be held noon today in the chapel with the Rev. J.D. Gibson and Pastor Oscar Stapp officiating.
Entombment will follow in Calvary Gardens Mausoleum.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
