Rose Sanders was born August 9, 1919 in the Grandview community to John Calvin and Vina (Treat) Young. She married Charlie Sanders at the age of 21, and to this union was born 2 daughters, Patty (Sanders) Guthrie/Bill, deceased; and Charlotte (Sanders) England/Coy of Marshall, AR. She has 7 grandchildren – Jimmy L. Horton/Beverly,
Cheryl Pruitt, Sheila Ragland/Jeff, Patricia Allen/Brad, Charles England/Amy, Annie Kennedy & Alan Guthrie/Laura.

She also has 12 great-grandchildren – Justin Horton, Jessie Blackwell, A.C. Horton, Jess Horton, Trey Pruitt, Cody Ragland, Jake Ragland, Winter Rose Allen, Sarah, Shanna and Emily England, Bailey Kennedy, and one on the way – Braylin Guthrie. There are 7 great-great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She departed this life on December 5, 2012 at her home in Morning Star.

She worked beside of her husband all their married life. They raised strawberry patches, tomato patches and followed the produce business in Hermitage, AR; Plymouth, Indiana and Donna, Texas working around the clock at times.

She was a wonderful homemaker and cook and famous for her Fried Apple Pies. Her pies would bring over a $100.00 at any fundraiser for some person in need. She was always ready to help someone in need.

She loved her children and grandchildren and we have lots of memories of birthdays and Christmas gatherings. She would send birthday cards to all her nieces, nephews and friends.

Rose was a member of the Grandview Church of Christ. She was a very faithful Christian woman and wanted her children and all her grandchildren to be faithful Christians.

Funeral Services for Rose Sanders will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 7, 2012 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home. Bro. Larry Treadwell and Bro. Fred Whitelaw will be officiating. Pallbearers will be: Justin Horton, Trey Pruitt, Cody Ragland, Allen (A.C.) Horton and Jess William Horton. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, also at Roller-Coffman Chapel. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery near Marshall.
