Allen "A. C." Wetzel, 80, of Belton, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, in a Hewitt nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, at First Baptist Church Belton with the Rev. Andy Davis officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Moore Memorial Cemetery in Arlington. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday evening, at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.

Allen Claude was born in Bynum, Texas, to the late Ala and Mattie Rachel (Boultinghouse) Wetzel. He was a graduate of Waco High School, class of 1950, and attended Baylor University. Allen was a veteran of the United States Navy. He married Edna Earle Gurley on June 14, 1958 and they made their home in Arlington for over 30 years before moving to Belton in 1990. Allen was retired from the Aerospace industry as a software analysis and programmer. While in Arlington he was a member of Fielder Road Baptist Church. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Belton.

Survivors include his wife, Edna, of Belton; son, Mark Wetzel, of Arlington; daughter, Michelle Mitchell, of Flower Mound; five grandchildren; and numerous friends.
