Sybil Ellen Burgess was the daughter of William Mark and Idyllwynn Rosalie (Bogart) Burgess. She married James Irvin Perkins on October 14, 1934, in Paris, Illinois. They had one son, Charles William Perkins, born on December 13, 1940, in Lebanon, Boone County, Indiana. Charles William Perkins died in St. Louis, Missouri on August 23, 2002. He had no children.
