Mary Ann "Polly" Russell married Thomas Laughlin Duncan (1794-1846) When he died, she married Thomas Starr (1799-1852) Mary & Thomas Starr were both buried in the Duncan cemetery just inside the front entrance. Their graves were marked by two elm trees. In the early 2000s, the trees were ripped out of the ground by a tornado. There are plans to put markers in their place.
She had no children with Starr tho he had a couple from a previous marriage.
I have not located the burial place of Thomas L. Duncan.
Mary's father was Thomas J. Russell, possibly born abt 1775 in Virginia or South Carolina and possibly died in Mississippi. I have not located his burial nor his wife's name.

Joseph Duncan (1831-1864) married Sarah Speake Withers (1830-?) Sarah remarried after his death to Henry Green. I have been unable to find a burial for either.
Ann Adeline Duncan (1817-1863) born in Tennessee and died Smith County, Texas. Married Hiram Kirkpatrick (1808-1881) in 1836. They had several children. I have not located a burial for either.
William Berry Duncan (1824-1901) is buried in the Duncan Cemetery #55045190
Thomas A.R. Duncan (1834-1864) born in Tennessee. Married Nancy C. Anderson (1840-1885) in 1858. They had two daughters. He was killed in action abt 1864 but I don't know where or where he was buried. She remarried to William Samuel McCuiston.
There were two infants born to them who died unnamed that I know of.
