He was the son of Dr. James McCracken Sr. and Pauline McCracken.

Dale Douglas McCracken, 55, of Reams Lane, London, died Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Saint Joseph London. The son of the late Dr. James McCracken Sr. and Pauline McCracken, he was born June 26, 1952 in Fayette County, Ky. He was a graduate of both Laurel County High School and Cumberland College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Barbara Justin. He is survived by his brothers Dr. James McCracken and wife Kay and Kenny McCracken and wife Sheila, all of London; his nieces and nephews Jason McCracken, Shannon Ranstron, Kathy McCracken, Heather Taylor, Allison McCracken, Melanie Callahan, and Ginger Ranstron, all of London, Ky., and Becky McCracken, of London, England; two great nieces and two great nephews. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at Bowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow, with Rev. Ted Thulin officiating. Burial is to follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park.
