Astoria, IL - Margaret L. Wickert, 85, of Quincy, formerly of Astoria, passed away at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Good Samaritan Home in Quincy.

Margaret was born February 18, 1927 in Astoria, a daughter of Jacob Edward and Julia Ann Hess Schisler. She married Hobart Scrogum on Nov. 18, 1945, in Astoria. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1989. She then married Leon Wickert on Jan. 10, 2007, in Lewistown. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2011.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Charles Scrogum; and one sister, Doris West.

Surviving are one daughter, Saundra (Larry) Smith; one stepson, Stephen (Marie) Wickert; two stepdaughters, Deborah (John) Sandoval and Melanie (John) Clark; three grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 14 step great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was a minister's wife. She also worked for Quincy Casket Company in Quincy and was owner/operator of H and M Hotel in Hull.

Interment will be in Summum Cemetery.
