Mrs. Malissa Padgett died Tuesday morning after a lingering illness of cancer. She was the wife of Mr. M. F. Padgett and a good Christian woman, a member of the Double Springs Baptist Church, and loved by all who knew her.
She leaves a husband and three sons to mourn her death. The sons are Sam Padgett, Memphis, Tennessee, Clyde Padgett, of Louisiana, and Keith Padgett, of Walton, Kentucky. Two sisters, Mrs. Ida Eubank and Mrs. Narcissa Leach, and one brother, Bud Morgan, are left to mourn the death of a sister.
Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday morning by the pastor, Rev. J. E. Weller, and the remains were laid to rest in the Double Springs Cemetery.
